Senior Finance Family Associate Role:
To manage a caseload of private family law matters, including divorce, financial remedies, and private law children cases. Additionally, to private mediation services to clients, facilitating amicable resolutions in family disputes.
Responsibilities Include:
Case Management:
- Handle a variety of family law cases with a focus on divorce, civil partnership dissolution, and financial matters.
- Provide mediation services to resolve family disputes outside of court.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records.
Client Care:
- Offer high-quality legal advice and representation to clients.
- Ensure exceptional standards of client care and maintain confidentiality.
- Manage client expectations and provide regular updates on case progress.
Mediation:
- Conduct mediation sessions for clients, focusing on resolving issues related to divorce, finances, and child arrangements.
- Prepare mediation agreements and ensure compliance with legal standards.
Business Development:
- Participate in business development activities to attract new clients.
- Network with other professionals and organizations to promote the firm's services.
- Contribute to marketing efforts, including writing blogs and attending events.
Compliance:
- Adhere to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures, including those related to risk management and quality control.
The Ideal Senior Finance Family Associate:
As a Senior Finance Family Associate it is essential you can demonstrate the following skills and competencies:
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE in family law.
- Proven experience in handling private family law matters.
- Qualified all issues family mediator.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using legal case management software.
Desirable Attributes:
- FMC Accredited Mediator.
- Experience working under LEXCEL or equivalent practice management standards.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
