Sophie studied an undergraduate degree in English Language and Linguistics (BA) at the University of Kent, graduating with a 2:1.
After graduating, Sophie began her career in marketing in which she worked for two years. Following an unexpected redundancy, she decided to change her career path. While considering her options, she came to work at Owen White & Catlin LLP as a receptionist. Having never considered law, Sophie was able to experience many different aspects of the legal profession. She was promoted to Paralegal within the firm and decided to undertake further training to become a solicitor.
Sophie went on to study a Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law, achieving a commendation. She then went on to complete her Legal Practice Course where she also graduated with a commendation.
Sophie re-joined Owen White & Catlin LLP in August 2019 working as a paralegal in the private client department. She has now begun her training contract with her first seat in the private client department at the Ashford branch.
Outside of work Sophie enjoys running, keeping active and cooking for family and friends. She also loves music, singing, playing the piano and seeing live music when she can.
