OWC supports Resolution’s Good Divorce Week 2025
Separation and divorce can be some of the most challenging moments in a person’s life. Alongside the emotional strain, families often face practical decisions that affect finances, housing and, most importantly, children’s wellbeing. At the same time, our family courts are under immense pressure with increasing demands. As a result, many families experience delays and uncertainty.
That’s why we’re proud to support Good Divorce Week 2025, an initiative by Resolution, the membership body for family justice professionals promoting a constructive, non-confrontational approach to separation.
What is Good Divorce Week?
Good Divorce Week (10–14 November 2025) is part of Resolution’s 'Year of the Code', a campaign celebrating its Code of Practice and the values it represents: reducing conflict, prioritising children’s needs, and helping people make informed, forward-looking decisions.
Every Resolution member, including OWC’s family law team, signs up to this Code, which guides us to work constructively, avoid conflict wherever possible, and focus on solutions that put families first.
A constructive approach to separation
There are alternative solutions to court proceedings available to families. From mediation to collaborative practice, families can reach agreements outside of court. This approach can reduce reduces stress and financial pressures as well as improve emotional wellbeing.
At Owen White Catlin, we’ve seen the difference this approach makes. Families often feel more in control, better informed, and more confident in the decisions they make for the long term. Constructive, solution-focused support also helps prevent issues from escalating unnecessarily into formal court proceedings.
Our commitment
As proud members of Resolution, we are committed to supporting families with care, understanding, and respect, helping them resolve matters as constructively as possible.
If you are facing separation or divorce and want guidance that prioritises solutions over conflict, our family law team is here to help. You can also learn more about Resolution’s Code of Practice.
