James joined Owen White & Catlin in January 2017. He is a Solicitor and is based in our Shepperton office and Esher office.
James specialises in matrimonial and children matters as well as disputes involving unmarried couples. His cases often involve complex and/or international elements.
After being Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2005, James cross-qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 and has represented clients in the Family Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. He prides himself on his common sense approach to all legal problems to ensure that the client is fully informed of all issues and the best resolution is reached.
He is a member of Resolution and holds a Level 1 Accreditation. In addition, James sits on the Resolution Practice Standards Panel and the Surrey Resolution Committee. James is also a trained Collaborative Lawyer and a member of the Thameside POD.
In addition to family cases, James also specialises in motoring law and regularly represents clients in the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts in London and the Home Counties.
In his spare time, James enjoys travelling, golf and watching a variety of sports.
