Laura completed her undergraduate degree in Politics at the University of Leeds. Whilst studying Politics, Laura also studied several law modules including War Crimes and Genocide and Forensic Psychology. She then went onto study her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course with a Masters in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law, attaining Distinctions in both. Whilst at the University of Law she volunteered with the National Centre for Domestic Violence. She volunteered on a weekly basis interviewing clients and drafting statements to assist clients obtain non-molestation orders and occupation orders.
Laura started as a paralegal in the family department in September 2017 at the Esher office. Laura gained experience in matrimonial matters, care proceedings and private children proceedings. Whilst in Esher, she also assisted the private client department drafting Wills, lasting powers of attorney and dealing with the administration of estates. She began her training contract in April 2018 and continued her training in the family department in the Ashford office.
Laura moved to the private client department in November to continue her training and gained further experience in probate and the administration of estates. Laura also gained experience in Court of Protection matters.
Laura moved to the Shepperton office in June 2019 to gained further experience in divorce and financial remedy proceedings and qualified as a solicitor in October 2019. Laura is now a solicitor in the family department specialising in divorce and financial remedy proceedings and children private children proceedings.
Laura enjoys horse riding and sailing in her spare time. She is very interested in travelling and learning about new cultures. She travelled around New Zealand a couple of years ago and has recently been to Vietnam.
